We are seeking a high-calibre Senior Civil Drafter to join our Perth-based team. The ideal candidate will have 5-12 years of experience in civil engineering drafting and a proven track record of delivering high-quality solutions.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed design drawings, ensuring compliance with Main Roads WA guidelines and specifications, and collaborating with engineers and designers to deliver coordinated drawing packages.

  • Advanced skills in AutoCAD and Civil 3D, including data management and model collaboration.
  • Experience working on projects for or in partnership with Main Roads WA, including familiarity with their Engineering and Technical Services Panel operations.
  • A high level of accuracy in producing and checking drawings and models.
  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
About the Role
  • Detailed Design Drafting: Prepare high-quality civil engineering drawings using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other relevant software.
  • MRWA Standards Compliance: Produce and review drawings to ensure alignment with Main Roads WA guidelines and protocols.
  • Documentation Preparation: Develop and manage detailed drawing sets for tender, construction, and as-built purposes.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, designers, and project managers to deliver coordinated drawing packages.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct self-checks and peer reviews, ensuring accuracy and completeness of deliverables in accordance with project requirements.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Advanced (or approaching advanced) skills in AutoCAD and Civil 3D and/or Microstation platforms.
  • Proven experience delivering projects for, or in partnership with, Main Roads WA.
  • A high level of accuracy in producing and checking drawings and models.
  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
  • Experience with BIM, 3D modelling, and digital delivery methodologies.
What You'll Need
  • AutoCAD and Civil 3D certifications preferred but not required.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
