Our Opportunity

We are seeking a qualified Program Coordinator - Family Intervention to join our team in Toowoomba. This is a permanent full-time position based in Toowoomba.

About the Role

The successful applicant will work collaboratively with families and key stakeholders to support each family to function in ways that promote the safety and wellbeing of children within the family group. Key responsibilities include:

  • Assessing all dimensions of family resources (including extra familial)
  • Assisting families to action Child Safety case plan goals utilising their own resources wherever possible and connecting to relevant support services where appropriate
  • Delivering evidence-based programs and providing interventions to develop family's knowledge and skills to increase safety and wellbeing of children within the family unit
  • Maintaining a current awareness of community resources to broaden options available to vulnerable families as appropriate and working collaboratively with these services in the interests of the family

Your Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • A degree in Social Work, Social Science, Psychology or related discipline from a recognised institution
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of the Queensland Child Protection system
  • A Queensland Provisional Green or above Driver's Licence
  • The ability to obtain positive notice in the legislatively required personal history check in line with service stream compliance requirements
  • Evidence of current vaccination against whooping cough or willingness to obtain
