Dynamic Currency Strategist

We are seeking a skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Treasury Trader. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the company's day-to-day currency positions arising from its money transfer and business payments products.

As a Treasury Trader, you will play a key role in assisting with the management of the company's foreign exchange risk by hedging client trade activity with our bank counterparties within prescribed interest rate and currency risk limits.

• Manage FX Risk: Assist with the management of the company's FX risk by hedging client trade activity with our bank counterparties within prescribed interest rate and currency risk limits.
• Quoting FX Prices: Quote FX prices across multiple products, and structure option contracts for the sales team.
• Operational Functions: Complete operational functions including: FX option, spot, swap, and forward deal execution, entry of trade data into the treasury risk management system, exotic currency booking and return processing.
• Reporting Activities: Manage daily and ad hoc reporting activities.

• Financial Markets Knowledge: Strong knowledge of financial markets and foreign exchange instruments, including FX forwards, and the ability to demonstrate an understanding of complex Option strategies.
• Execution and Attention to Detail: The diverse set of currency exposures, high volumes and fast paced environment requires flawless execution, attention to detail, precise communication, and aptitude for operational processes.
• Analytical Skills: A strong analytical skillset, and interest or experience in data management and entry level coding.
• Programming Knowledge: Programming knowledge would be an advantage - VBA, Python, SQL.
• Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, and demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Aptitude to Formulate Suggestions: Aptitude to formulate suggestions to address complicated financial risk scenarios.
• Financial Modeling and Excel Skills: Strong financial modeling, Excel, and analytical skills.
• Education: A Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, or related subject is preferred but not essential, likewise any further education (e.g. MBA).
