Dessert Master Craftsman

We are seeking a skilled Dessert Master Craftsman to join our kitchen team at Lancemore Lindenderry Red Hill.

Reporting to the Sous Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and assembling desserts across the pastry section. Your creativity and attention to detail will shine in developing and refining recipes, experimenting with ingredients and techniques to innovate new pastry offerings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and refine recipes to create unique dessert experiences
• Inspect equipment and premises for cleanliness to ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations
• Manage inventory of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as needed to maintain uninterrupted production
• Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation and timely service

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

• Certificate III in Commercial cookery/patisserie (minimum)
• 3 years post apprenticeship experience
• Experience in a similar role in an a la carte hotel restaurant or functions kitchen will be highly regarded
• Excellent planning and organisational skills
• Enthusiasm and creative approach to providing high-quality desserts
• Ability to work under pressure in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
