Digital Printing Assistant Role

This is a unique opportunity to join our in-house print production team as a Digital Printing Assistant.

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to assist in the day-to-day operation of our digital print production process. As a Digital Printing Assistant, you will be involved in pre-press, colour correction, file imposition, and other tasks related to print production.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Communicate with customers in a professional and timely manner.
  • Perform pre-press, colour correction, and file imposition tasks.
  • Fix files, including limited graphic design.
  • Manage the print workflow.
  • Handle finishing tasks, such as binding, drilling, laminating, scoring, and folding.
  • Packaging and dispatching jobs.
  • Maintain the print room to a high standard.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Adobe Acrobat, Photoshop, and Illustrator (not essential).
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Able to work within a small team.
  • Strong understanding of time frames and customer expectations.
  • A self-starter who takes initiative in the workplace.
  • Ability to manage time, workload, and work unsupervised.
  • Takes pride in producing high-quality work.
  • Experience operating a Digital Production Printer.
  • Understanding of Fiery RIP, Command Workstation & color correction.
  • An understanding of the digital printing process.
  • An understanding of various stock catalogues.

Benefits:

Flexible hours: Monday-Friday on a 3-6 month trial with the option to full-time after approval, bonuses included.

Job Type: Casual

Pay: $31.50 per hour
