With a rich history spanning over 160 years, this prominent flooring manufacturer seeks an experienced Financial Accountant to join their Corporate Accounting team.

This exciting opportunity offers the chance to deliver high-quality general accounting services and contribute to the company's continued success.

The Role

Reporting directly to the Accounting and Reporting Manager, you will work closely with the Australian Financial Controller and Management Accountant to drive business growth through financial excellence.

Key responsibilities include preparing monthly financial and management account reports, performing financial accounting services, and investigating issues to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Additionally, you will assist in statutory accounts preparation, BAS, tax, and FBT, providing valuable insights for business performance decision-making.

As a full-time employee based at our South Geelong office, you will be expected to attend site regularly and collaborate with the team to achieve shared goals.

The Person

To succeed in this role, you will require a bachelor's degree in accounting with 3-5 years of post-qualification experience.

A strong background in numeracy skills, attention to detail, and accuracy is essential, as well as excellent Excel skills to drive financial analysis and reporting.

A working understanding of SOx obligations is advantageous but not mandatory.

Experience with ERP systems, particularly SAP or JD Edwards, is highly valued, as is the ability to communicate complex financial concepts effectively to stakeholders.
