High-End Residential Project Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled project architect/project manager to join our team at Corben Architects. The ideal candidate will have at least 6 years of post-graduate experience in Australia, preferably in the high-end single and/or multi-residential sector.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing high-quality architectural and comprehensive documentation, including sketch designs, DA applications, CDC applications, construction certificate documentation, and contract documentation for tender and construction.
  • Managing 4-5 projects simultaneously through various stages.
  • Negotiating with key stakeholders to obtain DA approvals.
  • Liaising and coordinating with clients, Council, consultants, builders, and suppliers throughout the project stages.
  • Administering projects during construction, including contract preparation, progress claim assessment, and defect list preparation.
  • Managing project administration in a timely and effective manner, within the agreed fee structure of each project.
  • Collaborating with and/or directing staff assigned to each project.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 6 years of local experience with an Architecture, Interior, or Design Firm.
  • NSW Registered Architect for Project Architect Role.
  • Permanent working rights to work full-time in Australia.
  • Proficiency in ArchiCAD Version 23 or later.
  • Experience using Twin Motion beneficial.
  • Thorough knowledge of Council planning controls, NCC (BCA), and Australian Standards.
  • Experience working on Class 2 Building projects is favourable but not essential.
  • Exceptional design and documentation skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 and Adobe Creative Suite essential.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in undertaking detailed measure-ups.
  • Valid Australian Driver's Licence, access to a car for site visits preferred.
