About the Role

This full-time Windows Engineer position at NEC Australia offers a unique opportunity to be part of a dynamic IT infrastructure team in Darwin, NT. As a key member, you will play a vital role in maintaining and supporting the company's Windows-based systems.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Windows Engineer with a deep understanding of Windows Server and Active Directory technologies. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience (5+ years) in a Windows engineering or administration role, with strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

  • Monitor and maintain the Windows server and desktop environment, including operating systems, applications, and infrastructure.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to Windows servers, desktops, and associated applications.
  • Implement and manage Windows updates, patches, and security configurations to maintain system integrity.
  • Collaborate with the wider IT team to plan and execute infrastructure projects, such as migrations, upgrades, and deployments.
Key Requirements
  • Strong knowledge of best practices in system administration, security, and compliance, including experience with configuration management and automation tools.
  • Previous experience with design, implementation and/or administering storage solutions using SAN technologies.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
