Industrial Relations Specialist

The RoleWe are seeking an experienced Employee and Industrial Relations Specialist to join our central Human Resources- IR/ER team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. The successful candidate will provide industrial and employee relations leadership experience, strategic and solutions-focused advice, and support to Workforce Management projects and initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:- Interpret various awards and manage collective bargaining agreements to enhance employee engagement and collaboration with project teams.
- Provide employee and industrial relations advice for Toll Group and its associated entities, including review and development of instrument interpretations, advocacy, negotiation, and persuasion skills.
- Liaise with specialist teams and the business to deliver timely and accurate industrial and employee relations advice.
- Develop and maintain current knowledge of alterations in legislation to ensure compliance and best practice.
- Prepare weekly reports on the status of matters raised and provide briefs to external or internal stakeholders as required.
- Relevant experience in providing advice on workplace, industrial, and employee relations matters, including creating business proposals addressing complex ER, HR, and IR issues.
- Tertiary qualifications in Law, Human Resource Management, Industrial/Employee Relations, Employment Law, or a related discipline from a recognized University.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with people at all levels and disseminate information in a timely manner.
