About the Role

Berry Street is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Senior Practitioner to join our team in the Northern Metro Region. As a Senior Practitioner, you will play a key leadership role in the delivery of our Teaching Family Model (TFM) program, working closely with a team of professionals to provide high-quality care and support to young people in our residential care setting.

The TFM program is a therapeutic behavioral program that focuses on teaching interactions, relationships, and skills building to reduce challenging behaviors and increase pro-social behaviors. As a Senior Practitioner, you will be responsible for working with young people to develop their skills and abilities, and for providing guidance and support to your colleagues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work in a client-centered, family-focused, and strengths-based approach to provide high-quality care and support to young people.
  • Participate in intensive training, coaching, and feedback processes to develop your skills and knowledge in the TFM program.
  • Work collaboratively with a team to ensure continuity of care and delivery of client-focused tasks.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with young people, families, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
About You

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Senior Practitioner who is passionate about working with young people and families. You will have a minimum Cert IV in Children, Youth & Family Intervention, and experience working in a residential care setting. You will also have strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team.
