The Opportunity

We are seeking a compassionate and empathetic Carer to join our Aboriginal Home Health family in a rewarding career caring for our Mob and delivering an essential service for our Elders in our communities.

As a Carer with Australian Unity, you'll enjoy ongoing training and be part of a family committed to making a positive impact to the community. This role will be servicing the communities of Sutherland Shire, Sydney.

What we're looking for:

  • A reliable car and Australian Driver Licence
  • Vaccinated for COVID-19 (2 Doses)
  • 12 + months personal care experience required
  • Cert III in Individual Support will be highly regarded *can be obtained through our traineeships program - all fees paid (for eligible employees)

What you'll be doing:

  • Perform Personal Care duties including showering, feeding and toileting; assist in oral medication
  • Social support such as accompanying our clients to their doctor appointments, shopping & social outings
  • Domestic assistance such as cleaning, laundry, vacuuming, bed making, and meal preparation
