Teacher Aide Job Description

This role provides support to the Business Education Department and reports directly to the Learning Lead. The successful candidate will assist teachers with various tasks, provide administrative support, and maintain a high level of professionalism in their work.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support teachers with business ventures in class, including equipment hiring, supply ordering, and finance liaison.
  • Assist with digital technologies used in the classroom, providing guidance to teachers and supervising students.
  • Use personal computers and software packages like Microsoft Word and Excel for administrative tasks.
  • Maintain knowledge of College Administration package (TASS) and other relevant systems.
  • Understand general office, college, and business department administrative procedures.
  • Work independently, meet deadlines, prioritize tasks, and manage pressure effectively.
  • Communicate effectively with staff, students, and the wider college community.
  • Comply with WH&S policies and procedures.
  • Hold or be able to obtain Working with Children accreditation.
Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualification at Certificate IV level is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
