Job Title: Floor Finisher/Tiler

The role of a floor finisher/tiler involves working with our team to deliver exceptional results.

  • Measure areas to be covered and consult plans to estimate quantities of floor covering materials required.
  • Prepare surfaces for covering and remove baseboard trims.
  • Remove existing flooring and discard material if applicable.
  • Prepare wall and floor surfaces by removing old tiles, grout, and adhesive, filling holes and cracks, and cleaning the surface from dust, debris, and obstructions.
  • Measure, cut, and fix underlay materials.
  • Lay coverings such as wood, carpets, linoleum, parquetry blocks, cork tiles, and other resilient flooring materials over floors, matching patterns, cutting shapes around fixtures and trimming edges.
  • Use tile-cutting tools to cut and shape tiles needed for edges and corners, and around objects such as fittings and pipes.
  • Secure floor coverings and fit edge trims in doorways.
  • May install wall, ceiling, counter, and bench coverings.
  • May lay floors of granolithic, terrazzo, cement, or similar composition.
Requirements:
  • At least 3 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Ability to work well both independently and in a team environment.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Physically fit.
  • Self-motivated, organized, punctual, and reliable.
