Company Overview:

Role:

This role will facilitate the adoption and application of scientific principles to business processes and decisions to improve the quality and performance of various business units. You will translate the decision-making needs of internal business stakeholders into data-driven, provable problems using data science and big data tools to resolve them.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of analytical use cases and architecture.
  • Take ownership of projects with diverse scope and range.
  • Deploy data science applications into production environments.
  • Engage with stakeholders.
  • Provide leadership.
  • Apply probability theory to business problems.
  • Present complex analytics solutions to stakeholders.
  • Design and manage appropriate cross-business experimentation methodologies for testing analytics and data science approaches.

Key Skills:

  • Advanced programming skills (particularly in R, Python).
  • Advanced data visualization skills (e.g., PowerBI, ggplot, plotly).
  • Advanced knowledge of relational databases (e.g., SQL, Hive, Pig).
  • Ability to develop architectural prototypes that integrate machine learning with complex IT systems.
  • Ability to distill and abstract complex problems into data-driven/machine learning analogies.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Education level: Master's or PhD in Quantitative fields (Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, or related disciplines).

Compensation:

The estimated annual salary for this position is around $104,000 based on the contract rate of $1,000 per week.
