Salary Information We offer a competitive salary package for this part-time, temporary position, estimated to be around $65,000 per annum based on industry standards and location.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced, passionate, and student-centred Teacher Assistant (Special Needs) to join our Primary School team. As a key member of our support staff, you will work closely with teachers to provide educational and emotional support to students with special needs. Your role will involve assisting with lesson plans, implementing strategies to meet individual learning goals, and promoting a positive and inclusive classroom environment. Key Responsibilities
  • • Assisting teachers with lesson planning, preparation, and implementation • Providing individualized support to students with special needs • Implementing evidence-based strategies to enhance student learning and engagement • Maintaining accurate records of student progress and development • Collaborating with teachers and other support staff to ensure consistency and continuity in student support

Required Skills and QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you will require:

a. A strong understanding of special needs education principles and practices;
b. Experience working with students with diverse abilities and needs;
c. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
d. Ability to work effectively in a team environment;
e. High level of flexibility and adaptability; and
