About the Position
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Uniting team as a Community Energy Advisor. As a Community Energy Advisor, you will play a key role in delivering energy support to clients by providing tailored energy efficiency information, support and advocacy to individuals and families who find themselves in financial difficulties related to utility issues.

The Uniting Energy Support Program provides energy affordability education and advice for low-income and vulnerable householders across several States across Australia. Our clients are referred by financial counsellors, utility retailers and community service organisations to ensure our clients get the supports they need to stay connected to their energy supply, reduce ongoing energy costs, and get the wrap around support they need.

As a Community Energy Advisor, you will also deliver community education to external community groups, organisations and community events on topics around residential energy efficiency, related energy grants and concessions, and financial literacy.

Your Qualifications and Experience
To be successful in this role, you will have a relevant tertiary qualification and/or knowledge in energy efficiency, financial counselling, community development or a related field. You will also have demonstrated experience or knowledge in consumer rights and financial issues.
