Food Service Attendant Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our Food Services team as a Food Service Attendant. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service while preparing and serving meals to patients with special dietary needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and serve meals to patients in accordance with their dietary requirements
  • Take food and drink orders from patients and relay to the kitchen staff
  • Maintain a clean and tidy environment in the food service areas
  • Work effectively as part of a team to achieve high standards of infection control
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to improve skills and knowledge

Requirements:

  • Experience working in a fast-paced food service environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Basic math skills and accuracy when handling cash or operating a point of sale system
  • Knowledge of food safety and infection control principles
