UGL Mackay Workshop is offering a revised roster that includes three long weekends out of every four and more paid overtime. This is a unique chance to balance work and personal life in a beautiful tourist destination.

The workshop is experiencing significant growth in various areas, including component work and the rail sector. As a Mechanical Fitter, you will be part of a highly experienced team with a reputation for delivery and collaboration.

About the Role

We are seeking a Trade Qualified Mechanical Fitter to join our Mackay Workshop. This is a permanent position with a 3-month probation period. The successful candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:

  • Trade qualified Fitter and Turner
  • HRWL – LF, DG, RB preferred
  • Experience in all aspects of heavy fitting, including fault diagnosis in machinery
  • Organising and planning of work
  • Basic welding and use of gas cutting torch and burners
  • Maintaining the well-equipped workshop, including updated critical spares list in site store
