About the Opportunity

]Our team is looking for an experienced Registered Nurse to join our crew at Cairns Donor Centre in Queensland.
">You will bring your fantastic customer-facing skills and passion to deliver an exceptional service, while working together to ensure Australia's supply of blood products.
">- ">
- Greet and interview potential donors to assess their eligibility and suitability to donate">
- Provide clinical oversight and guide other team members in the blood collection process">
- Complete routine blood pressure and haemoglobin tests">
- Set up machines and collections equipment">
- Insert and remove needles safely to collect whole blood and plasma">
- Manage adverse donor reactions by providing instructions and physical assistance">
- Monitor donors post-donation and assist them to rebook for their next donation">
The ideal candidate should have:
">- ">
- Occasionally lift between 9-22.7kgs">
- Frequently stand, walk and bend to set up and pack down machines and blood products">
- Utilise their expertise having completed a Bachelor of Nursing (or equivalent) and hold a current AHPRA registration">
- Be flexible to work varied shifts on a rotating roster from Monday to Saturday, including weekends and afternoon shifts">
- Have their own vehicle and driver's licence">
