Job Description

At our aged care facilities, we are seeking compassionate and meticulous individuals to contribute to the well-being of elderly residents.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Ensure all cleaning requirements are met each shift with attention to detail.
  • Interact with residents in a friendly, helpful, and positive manner to promote a sense of belonging.
  • Perform routine cleaning tasks in resident rooms, common areas, offices, and other designated areas of the facility, following established protocols.
  • Report any maintenance issues or concerns to the appropriate department for prompt resolution.
  • Adhere to infection control policies and procedures to minimize the risk of infection transmission.
  • Follow safe work practices and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to support a clean and comfortable living environment for residents.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Previous cleaning experience in a commercial, healthcare or aged care environment; or be willing to learn and adapt.
  • Knowledge of cleaning techniques, products, and equipment used in maintaining a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Possess attention to detail and the ability to follow cleaning protocols and schedules.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Above all, have a positive attitude and a compassionate approach to elderly residents.
