About the Role

As an Electronic Instrument Trades Worker, you will be responsible for maintaining, adjusting and repairing electronic instruments and control systems, as well as transmitting and receiving radio messages. Your primary goal will be to ensure the optimal performance of our equipment and systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Examine and test machines, equipment, instruments and control systems to diagnose faults
  • Adjust, repair and replace worn and defective parts and wiring, and maintain machines, equipment and instruments
  • Reassemble, test operate and adjust equipment
  • Advise users on correct operating procedures to prevent malfunctions
  • Install electronic instruments and control systems
  • Apply knowledge of electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic principles in commissioning and maintaining control systems
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong background in Electrical or Mechatronics with trade/diploma qualifications and at least two years of work experience in the industry
  • Good knowledge of concepts, principles and practices of electrical/mechanical systems
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to read and understand technical documentation, drawings, manuals and OEM guides
  • Working knowledge of diagnostic, mechanical and electrical tools and equipment
  • Able to service and support equipment, including mechanical, electrical and electronic repairs
  • A team player mentality
