About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Azure SRE Consultant to join our team. As a key member of our cloud infrastructure team, you will be responsible for providing managed services support for Azure Infrastructure and Azure Virtual Desktop customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and implement uplifts and modernisation opportunities in customer Azure environments
  • Provide level 3 support to our Managed Services customers, including Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management, Request Fulfilment, Event Management and Monitoring
  • Provide paid-on-call/after-hours support for Major Incidents on a rotating roster
  • Provide Azure enhancement, build and development services to our customers
  • Assist with identifying and implementing SRE principles and practices and applying these to customer environments and processes
  • Apply an automate-everything approach to customer platforms for reliability at scale
  • Hardening the security posture of customer environments
  • Perform and automate security posture and Fin Ops reporting and reviews, and implement technical recommendations
  • Build, configure and deploy IaC pipelines (Azure DevOps, Bicep, GitHub, Terraform)
Requirements
  • Experience with Azure IaaS: Experience supporting, maintaining and deploying Azure Infrastructure resources such as Virtual Machines, Virtual Machine Scale Sets, Networking, Firewalls AND/OR Azure Virtual Desktop: Experience with supporting, maintaining and deploying Azure Virtual Desktop environments
  • High-level knowledge of SRE and why it's important
  • Experience deploying monitoring and observability in Azure
  • Mid-level experience with Microsoft Azure (2+ year's experience)
  • The ability to organise and run workshops, gather, document and scope customer requirements, deliver on the work, and oversee others doing the work
  • Proven practical experience developing new, enhancing and deploying Azure Infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and pipelines
  • Coding experience in one or more languages (C#, PowerShell) to develop new solutions for customers and automate everything
