About the Role

The Compositing Technical Supervisor at DNEG plays a crucial role in the technical development of the compositing department. This position requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and the ability to communicate effectively with the team and other departments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise the technical development of the compositing department, working closely with the Global Head of Compositing.
  • Show leadership within the compositing team from a technical perspective, supporting Compositing Supervisors and artists by understanding best practices, improving efficiencies, and liaising with R&D and pipe framework teams.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Nuke and other compositing tools, ensuring the team is equipped to deliver high-quality results.
  • Collaborate with the R&D and pipe framework teams to achieve integration and best practice across the comp department globally.

Requirements

  • VFX industry experience as a Compositing Supervisor working on high-end features.
  • In-depth knowledge of Nuke and other compositing tools.
  • Proven experience of pipeline and tool development.
  • Proven team leadership experience.
  • Ability to communicate visual aspects to the team.
  • Strategic thinking and the ability to drive change.
