About the Role:


This exciting opportunity involves coordinating sourcing of goods and services, conducting market research, and managing procurement requirements for Mission Equipment and Simulation & Training programs.



Key Responsibilities:



  • Manage quotes, tenders, purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and secure goods and services that deliver best overall commercial value;
  • Conduct transactions around POs in RDA ERP system (SAP S4H);
  • Negotiate pricing and other commercial arrangements with suppliers;
  • Strategic sourcing; supplier relationship management; performance reporting, reviews, and materials management;
  • Drive cost reductions and increase value for money while championing opportunities for improvement;
  • Contribute to development, implementation, and continued improvement of procurement related working instructions and guidelines;
  • Effectively represent RDA Electronic Solutions and liaise with industry bodies and government industry representatives to ensure alignment with Rheinmetall global processes;
  • Engage with internal stakeholders across business to develop and maintain effective, efficient, and cooperative working relationships;
  • Provide support to RDA Procurement Manager - Electronic Solutions for periodical reporting activities, reviews, and AIC industry requirements.


Required Skills and Qualifications:


We are looking for an experienced Procurement Specialist with a proven track record in end-to-end procurement preferably within a multinational company. The ideal candidate will have experience across all procurement fundamentals – sourcing, tending, contracts, category, and indirects commodity management; market research analysis, reporting, and negotiations.



  • A strong understanding of Indirect costs associated with Capital Expenditure, Plant & Equipment, Tools;
  • An understanding of production of complex or technical products;
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills and ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders at all levels;
  • Drive continuous improvement of cost and supply base performance;
  • High level ability to collate and write requirements documents;
  • Proven examples of analytical, qualitative, and quantitative abilities;
  • Able to travel internationally and interstate if required;
  • Eligibility to obtain Australian Government Security Clearance (Australian Citizenship required).
