About The Role
The position of Electrician plays a crucial role in providing optimum performance and availability of the plant's electrical machinery and systems. This position requires installation and maintenance of new and existing plant and equipment, as well as assisting all members of QMAG in need of assistance with electrical faults associated with the function of the plant.
Key Responsibilities
- Operating in accordance with QMAG's Core Values at all times
- Installing new and maintaining current equipment to ensure reliable operation
- Inspecting electrical works to maintain Australian Standards (AS-3000)
- Maintaining PLC's (Programmable Logic Controllers) systems, with limited works configuring the supervisory control and data acquisition System (Citect)
- PLC and Citect programming modifications when required
- Installation and calibration of all plant instruments, belts weighers, weighing platforms, load calibration, and testing
- Developing and installing various control systems to improve the efficiency and productivity of existing plant operations
- Repairing and fault finding during breakdowns
Requirements
We are looking for people with the following qualifications and experience:
- Electrical Fitter/Mechanic Trade Certified
- Current LVR/CPR Certificates
- Manual License
