We're seeking a highly motivated and experienced Cancer Care Coordinator to lead the design and delivery of a cancer care program focused on education, screening, and culturally safe client support across a large region.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a collaborative team grounded in culture, purpose, and care. As a Cancer Care Coordinator, you'll be responsible for coordinating clinical and health promotion staff, strengthening stakeholder partnerships, and improving access to screening and care pathways from rural areas to hospitals. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing region-wide cancer initiatives and screening strategies
  • Leading a team including a Cancer Care Nurse and health promotion specialists
  • Partnering with healthcare organizations and government agencies to improve cancer care services
  • Integrating cancer care into local clinics and supporting referrals to specialist services
  • Co-designing culturally appropriate resources and engagement events to promote cancer awareness and prevention
  • Monitoring outcomes, driving quality improvement, and delivering training to stakeholders

What You'll Need
  • AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse or Aboriginal Health Practitioner
  • Experience in First Nations or remote health contexts
  • At least 3 years' experience in program coordination or clinical leadership
  • Strong understanding of cancer care or health promotion principles
  • Confidence engaging with diverse communities, clinics, and hospitals
  • High-level written and verbal communication skills

Bonus points for knowledge of national screening programs, referral systems, and stakeholder training, CQI, or Communicare.
