Key Responsibilities- Lead, support, and mentor the maintenance team to ensure site operations are maintained in a safe, standard, and efficient manner.
- Work with the team and the wider network to harness technical expertise and build solutions.
- Support the Reliability Engineering Manager in implementing, recording, and auditing safety and statutory compliance programs.
- Implement network standards and focus on preventative maintenance to provide high equipment availability to internal customers.
- Ensure sufficient technical coverage is available for shifts by organizing and directing the training program for the team.
- Manage local projects or support Australia-wide projects as assigned by the manager.
You will be based at one of our operational sites, allowing you to give practical guidance to your team and gain a clear vision of site operations. This involves collecting data, solving problems in a fast-paced environment, and creating an operational plan to improve site productivity and efficiency.
Requirements- A degree in a technical discipline.
- Relevant experience in managing people in an engineering team.
- Relevant experience as part of a maintenance team in an industrial or production environment handling complex business processes.
- Relevant experience in liaising and managing relationships between stakeholders, including third-party vendors.
- Experience with automated equipment, including packaging machinery, sortation, and conveyor systems.
- Experience with statutory regulations, such as compliance checks and machine safety protocols.
- Experience with data analysis tools and PLC-based control systems.
- Experience with project management or Kaizen, Lean, Six Sigma processes.
- Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
