About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mid-Senior Ruby on Rails Engineer to join our team in Sydney, Australia. As a key member of our squad, you will be responsible for designing and developing scalable and performant web applications and APIs using Ruby on Rails.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop scalable and performant web applications and APIs using Ruby on Rails
  • Work collaboratively with other stakeholders within the business to deliver high-quality software solutions
  • Take ownership of the development and functionality of our greenfield build, from concept to release

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience with Ruby on Rails
  • Strong understanding of React, PostgreSQL, Redis, Docker, and Kubernetes
  • Experience with scaling a SaaS platform
  • Ability to build systems with minimal input or specs
  • Proven record of working with complex APIs

Desirable Skills

  • Experience with distributed systems and microservices
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices
  • Experience with B2B product development
