Job Title: Specialised Support Worker

We are seeking permanent part-time workers to provide essential care to older people in their homes across the Kyogle, Tweed Heads and Lismore region.

Our team members enjoy flexible days of the week, start and finish times, and weekend loading if desired. They also receive a work mobile phone, paid travel time, and kilometres.

About the Role

This role involves providing practical and emotional support to help clients live independently and directly improve their quality of life.

The successful candidate will be required to travel to clients' homes using their own car, for which they will be reimbursed 0.99 per km plus paid travel time.

Care Responsibilities
  • Providing personal care including showering and dressing
  • Assisting with meal preparation and light house cleaning
  • Transporting clients to appointments and assisting with shopping
  • Administering medication under the guidance of the client's doctor
Key Skills and Qualifications
  • Empathy, patience, and a solutions-focused approach
  • Previous experience in aged or community care is beneficial but not necessary
  • A valid Driver's Licence and access to an insured, reliable car (minimum Third Party Property Insurance)
  • A Certificate III in Aged Care or Individual Support is desirable, but we can assist with training if needed
  • Flexibility in meeting changing client needs
