Lead Sports Coach

We are seeking experienced sports coaches to lead teams in a variety of sports, including Soccer, Netball, Basketball, Rugby, AFL, Hockey, Water Polo, Touch Football, Athletics, and Martial Arts.

The ideal candidate will have relevant coaching experience and be able to work with students of varying skill levels and age groups.

We offer a range of schedule options, including morning, in-school time, and after-school positions, with both midweek and weekend work available.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A strong background in sports coaching or playing
  • A current Paid Working with Children (WWC) Check
  • Child Protection Training (desirable)
  • First Aid + CPR Training (desirable)

You will be responsible for:

  • Sports Coaching
  • Conducting all training sessions
  • Facilitating competition games (as required)
  • Being reliable and organized

Additional skills and abilities that would be beneficial include:

  • Knowledge of standard coaching practices
  • Ability to handle multiple sporting priorities independently
  • Interpersonal skills to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships and communicate clearly and effectively with students, staff, administrators, and at times parents/guardians
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and handle confidential matters with tact and diplomacy, and maintain confidentiality as needed or protect individual students' rights
  • Communicating with an ethnically and culturally diverse community
