Overview

WT Partnership, an international consultancy practice with a global presence, is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Australian team. Our company provides specialist cost, sustainability, facilities management, and technical advisory consultancy services to the property, construction, infrastructure, and resources sectors.

Salary Information

The successful candidate will be offered a competitive salary ranging from $110,000 to $145,000 per annum, plus superannuation benefits. This remuneration package reflects the importance of this role in our organization and is commensurate with industry standards.

Job Description

This senior quantity surveying position involves performing various functions, including estimating, planning, and cost management, cost monitoring, and accurate financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quantity surveying, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

We are looking for a qualified professional who can proactively maximize value for our clients while exercising sound financial acumen. This role is available in multiple locations across Australia, including Melbourne, Brisbane, Canberra, Sydney, Newcastle, Adelaide, Geelong, and Perth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Liaise with clients, architects, and main contractors to ensure project deliverables meet client expectations.
  • Identify and facilitate new business opportunities to drive growth and revenue.
  • Develop and manage project budgets, including master-planning and feasibility studies.
  • Conduct cost checking on developing designs to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Apply value engineering techniques to optimize project costs without compromising quality.
  • Evaluate tenders and negotiate contracts to achieve favorable terms for our clients.
  • Cash flow management, procurement, cost reporting, variation evaluations, valuations, final account reporting, claims preparation, investment analysis, and benchmarking processes are also essential aspects of this role.
Requirements
  • A relevant tertiary qualification in quantity surveying, civil engineering, or construction is required.
  • Experience with cost estimating and planning software, including Cost X, is highly desirable.
