Surgical Team Lead

Come and join our fast-paced surgical ward team at Launceston General Hospital.
- This is a 32-bed ward caring for patients undergoing various surgical procedures, including Orthopaedic, Plastic & Reconstructive, Gynaecological, General, Breast, and Ear, Nose & Throat Surgery.
- We emphasise a multidisciplinary approach that places the needs of patients and families first through effective communication and collaboration to facilitate safe discharge from hospital.
- The team provides a supportive environment for learners and places a heavy focus on teamwork to assist in meeting the needs of a busy surgical ward.
Responsibilities include:
- Working in a 32-bed surgical ward caring for patients undergoing various surgical procedures.
- Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to prioritise patient and family needs and facilitate safe discharge.
- Supporting learning and teamwork within the ward to meet the needs of a busy surgical environment.
Qualifications required:
- Registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
- Refer to Statement of Duties for full selection criteria.
- Permanent, full-time position with a working week of 76 hours per fortnight.
- Salary: $78,179 to $105,995 per annum (pro rata).
- 12% superannuation contribution.
- Salary packaging available for a range of benefits.
- Postgraduate Allowance up to 10% based on qualification type.
- Travel and relocation assistance up to $15,000 for overseas appointees and up to $10,000 for interstate appointees.
