The position of Dispute Resolution Specialist involves receiving and assessing complaints in accordance with established guidelines and legislative requirements.
- Gathering relevant information from complainants, local authorities, and other stakeholders is essential to facilitate accurate and timely complaint handling.
- Executing statutory duties and exercising delegated powers under relevant legislation is a critical aspect of this role.
- Applying the principles of procedural fairness and natural justice in the processing and documentation of all complaints is vital.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation of summaries, recommendations, and outcome advice to support internal review, referral to other agencies, or closure is necessary.
- Leading the delivery of the Inspectorate's statutory complaints handling function requires strong leadership skills.
- Managing a small team to ensure efficient, accurate, and procedurally fair complaint handling is essential.
Requirements:
- A current Western Australian C or C-A class driver's license or equivalent is required.
- Tertiary qualifications in public administration, regulatory practice, or a related field would be advantageous.
