Job Title: Child Protection Caseworker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Child Protection Caseworker to join our team in Southern NSW.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to work with vulnerable children and families, making a positive impact on their lives. As a Child Protection Caseworker, you will be responsible for responding to reports of safety concerns, working collaboratively with other agencies, and developing safety plans to ensure the well-being of children and young people.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work sensitively and respectfully with parents, family members, children, or young people to address safety and well-being concerns.
  • Develop and implement safety plans, complete risk assessments, and manage cases and situations, including working with high-needs and high-risk clients and their families.
  • Participate in court processes, including the preparation of court documents and attending court.
  • Engage in individual and group supervision to ensure ongoing professional development and support.

Requirements:

  • Completed or in the final semester of a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, Social Science, or Welfare, along with practical experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to build positive working relationships.
  • A valid driver's licence (P1 or above) and a paid working with children clearance number.
