Role Overview

The Maintenance Manager role involves leading our maintenance team in Western Australia to ensure all preventative and reactive maintenance tasks are completed and up to date.

This includes providing hands on assistance and limiting the need to engage contractors. The role is Monday to Friday with support from an experienced General Manager of Property and a Property and Procurement Officer.

You will oversee all WA sites, including current sites Singleton and Mandurah as well as future sites being built or acquired.

  • Lead maintenance team in Western Australia to complete preventative and reactive maintenance tasks
  • Provide hands on assistance and limit contractor engagement
  • Oversee WA sites, including Singleton, Mandurah and future sites
Requirements
  • Experience in building maintenance
  • Experience managing a team
  • Trade qualification e.g. A Grade Electrician or qualified Plumber (including TMV work)
  • Aged care experience desirable
  • Current driver's licence
  • Thorough understanding of legislative requirements pertaining to maintenance and repairs
  • Ability to perform variety of tasks including use of tools and equipment
  • Excellent communication skills and respect for colleagues and residents
  • Previous experience working autonomously with limited direction
  • Ability to make decisions about costs and priorities and document full plan for work to be completed
