**Job Opportunity**

The Department for Child Protection is seeking a highly skilled Principal Quality and Safeguarding Officer to join their team on a full-time term basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the implementation of quality assurance, quality governance, and client risk mechanisms.
  • Provide expert clinical, evidence-based strategic advice related to quality and safeguarding.
  • Contribute to the analysis and development of departmental practice, policies, and procedures.
  • Prepare detailed reports, memos, letters, and briefings at an Executive and Ministerial level.

Requirements:

  • Experience in leading continuous improvement of practice, including leadership of complex change.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding, quality governance, and quality improvement methodology.
  • Experience in providing concise and comprehensive written and verbal briefings and advice on complex issues.
  • Expertise in managing quality improvement programs, projects, and policy development.

Essential Qualifications:

A degree-level qualification in Social Work which gives eligibility for full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.
