Trainer/Assessor Opportunity

ACE Training, a leading provider of training services in regional Victoria, is seeking an experienced and professional Trainer/Assessor to join its team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and relevant training and assessment services in Dogging, Rigging, and Crane specialisms.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in lifting operations, with a proven track record of delivering training and assessment services in a busy RTO environment. They will be required to work autonomously and as part of a team, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

The role will involve delivering training and assessment services in a range of topics, including Dogging, Basic and Intermediate Rigging, and Crane specialisms. The successful candidate will be required to maintain equipment and training venues to ensure they are safe and serviceable, and may be required to travel to deliver training off-site.

The successful candidate will possess a Cert IV TAE, a High-Risk Work Licence, and demonstrated experience in lifting operations within the construction, civil, resources, and infrastructure sectors. They will also be required to be accredited by WorkSafe as an Individual Assessor, and be eligible to obtain a Working Children Check Card and a Police Check.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and relevant training and assessment services
  • Ensure content and delivery of accredited courses meets ASQA/RTO Standards and other applicable regulations
  • Supervise students' behaviours and provide engaging and motivating training
  • Maintain equipment, training venues, and training aids to ensure they are safe and serviceable
  • Travel may be required to deliver training off-site

Essential Criteria:

  • Cert IV TAE (plus upgrade units if required)
  • Possess a High-Risk Work Licence
  • Demonstrated Lifting Operations experience within the construction, civil, resources, and infrastructure sectors
  • Be accredited by WorkSafe as an Individual Assessor (or ability to gain accreditation, if applicable)
  • Be eligible to obtain a Working Children Check Card and a Police Check
  • You will need to be an Australian Resident
  • Must hold a valid Australian Driver's Licence
