Job Description

We are seeking enthusiastic and caring individuals to join our team as Casual Crew Members. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to work with passengers on Sydney Ferries and gain valuable experience in the maritime industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring passenger comfort, safety, and care while providing excellent customer service.
  • Assisting with boarding and disembarking passengers, supervising gangways for safe passage.
  • Participating in daily operations, navigation, and crew duties on our vessels.
  • Conducting regular safety inspections, providing emergency assistance when needed, and maintaining cleanliness of vessels and wharves.
Requirements:
  • Australian citizenship or permanent residency is required.
  • Certificate I in Maritime Operations (GPH near Coastal) is necessary.
  • A valid Certificate of Competency (near coastal) card issued by AMSA or Integrated Rating Ticket/Able Seafarer Deck Rating is also required.
  • Ability to swim 50 meters or equivalent is essential.
  • Possessing a current Provide First Aid Certificate (HLTAID009/010/011) is mandatory.
