Data Engineer Role Overview

We're seeking a Senior Technical Data Analyst to join our Data Platforms Crew at the Commonwealth Bank of Australia. As a member of this crew, you'll play a key role in building and delivering world-class experiences for our customers using the power of data, analytics, and artificial intelligence (AI).

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Technical Data Analyst, you will collaborate with our key internal stakeholders to gather requirements, design, build, deploy, and test data pipelines across a variety of use cases. This will involve utilising data analysis techniques, coupled with domain knowledge and stakeholder management to identify and document processes and technology to deliver high-quality, reliable, and reusable data.

Requirements

We're interested in hearing from people who show confidence in navigating group data products and data assets, by integrating large sets of data derived from hundreds of internal and external sources. You'll need to have hands-on experience and expertise in data design, flows, data layers, and data semantics. Additionally, you should be able to analyse data profiles, data lineage, and data patterns in data risk mitigation strategies. Experience with SQL and Excel skills, as well as exposure to Teradata Group Data Warehouse, Cloudera Hadoop Big Data (Omnia) platforms, Datastage, and various ETL frameworks, will be beneficial. Knowledge of messaging platforms like Kafka and Ab Initio framework is also desirable.
