Job Title: Disability Support Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Disability Support Specialist to assist NDIS participants in negotiating provision of services and supports. This is an exciting opportunity to make a difference in the lives of people with a disability.

About the Role:

The Disability Support Specialist will be responsible for assisting participants to understand their NDIS Plan, negotiate provision of services and supports, and monitor the delivery of services and supports. The role requires excellent communication and organisational skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting participants to negotiate provision of services and supports
  • Maintaining accurate records of participant interactions
  • Coordinating support plans and service agreements
  • Providing information and support to participants and their families

Requirements:

  • Qualifications in Social Work or relevant experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
