Our organization is seeking a skilled Safety and Wellbeing Specialist to join our team.

In this role, you will be responsible for promoting a safe and healthy work environment through the development and implementation of policies and procedures. You will also provide advice on legislation and compliance, conduct risk assessments, and maintain accurate records and reports.

The successful candidate will have experience as a WHS professional, excellent influencing and communication skills, and a demonstrated understanding of risk assessment and management practices. They will also have knowledge of WHS legislation and the ability to advise and apply statutory obligations.

You will work autonomously with the support of the National WHS Manager and other members of the WHS team located throughout the country. This role may require some travel to various locations.

Key Accountabilities:
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure a safe and healthy work environment
  • Provide advice on legislation and compliance
  • Conduct risk assessments and identify hazards and risks in the workplace
  • Maintain accurate records and reports on health and safety incidents and near misses
