Key Responsibilities
  • Provide effective direction to high-performing teams comprising project managers, technical specialists, vendors, and support staff.

  • Develop and implement strategies for ongoing assessment of project delivery, including robust risk and contingency management, impact assessments, and quality measures.

Position Outcomes

The Program Director - Planning leads the delivery of multiple technology projects, ensuring integration and execution within a complex enterprise. This role manages programs to meet deadlines and budgets, develops plans, implements governance, allocates resources, and handles reporting according to recognized project management methodologies.

The director oversees successful project outcomes and conducts continuous monitoring and evaluation to manage risks and assess impact. This includes regular project reviews and audits to ensure secure and reliable digital solutions.

Qualifications and Requirements
  • Project Management Certification (e.g., Prince2 / PMBok) or Agile Certification.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification and experience in traditional project management and agile delivery, or a relevant business discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience (at least 7 years) managing complex and diverse data and digital programs in a government or large private sector organization.
  • Experience relevant to the accountabilities and capabilities of the role.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Experience in technology, data, and/or customer-facing digital channel delivery.
