Role Overview:

We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Casual Educators to join our team at various Child Care Centres across the Central Coast.

About the Role:

As a Casual Educator, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of young children, working closely with our experienced teams to deliver engaging and tailored educational programs.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Interact positively with children to facilitate their learning experiences;
  • Supervise children to ensure appropriate health, safety, and wellbeing is maintained;
  • Contribute to the implementation of customized educational programs aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) learning outcomes and individual needs and interests of children;
  • Support the team, assist with problem-solving, and offer great ideas to keep activities fresh and relevant;
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and families, maintaining confidentiality at all times;
  • Contribute to, and accurately record observations of, and record-keeping functions associated with the position.

What We're Looking For:

To be successful in this role, you will require:

Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care, combined with ongoing professional development;Current Working with Children Check;Previous experience working in a long day care centre, tending to the needs of children between the ages of six weeks and five years;Excellent communication skills, both written and oral;Ability to build effective relationships with staff, children, parents, and other stakeholders;Ability to be flexible with working hours within core Centre operating times due to legislative staffing ratios.

Additional Requirements:

It is your responsibility to undertake a course of vaccinations against Hepatitis A and B, Tetanus (Boostrix), MMR, and Varicella or demonstrate your immunity. CMV screening will also be required.

Salary and Benefits:

The estimated salary for this role is $38.81 per hour (includes 25% casual loading) + 11% superannuation.
