Investment Banking Associate Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Investment Banking Associate to join our team in Sydney. As a key member of our Corporate Finance business, the successful candidate will be responsible for participating in the origination and execution of Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) and debt financing mandates with a focus on Consumer, Retail, Healthcare and General Industrials sectors.

  • Participate in the origination and execution of M&A and debt financing mandates with a focus on Consumer, Retail, Healthcare and General Industrials sectors.
  • Deal team member contributing to day-to-day M&A execution processes including in-depth financial analysis, valuation, due diligence and industry analysis.
  • Prepare high quality marketing presentations and industry analysis.
  • Attend client meetings including execution and pitches.
  • Support senior banker account coverage and idea generation.
  • Train and mentor juniors (interns, graduates, analysts) to support the development of best-in-class investment banking skill-sets.
Requirements
  • At least 3 years experience in Investment Banking (M&A) ideally within GI or CRH, but other sector experience may be considered.
  • Outstanding academic achievement.
  • Strong financial modelling skills and commercial acumen are critical.
  • Detail oriented with strong quantitative and analytical skills.
  • Highly motivated and self-driven with ability to multitask.
  • Ability to take initiative with strong critical thinking skills.
