About the Opportunity

Viatris is seeking a Maintenance Trades Assistant to join our team on a fixed term secondment for 12 months. As a key member of the maintenance team, you will be responsible for supporting the maintenance team with duties on the plant and equipment to optimize operational efficiency of the site.

Main Duties

  • Undertake routine checks of plant, rooms, and equipment, including cleaning in all areas of the site.
  • Carry out regular deep cleans of the Machine Shop and Workshop.
  • Provide support to the Maintenance Store, including forklift operations.
  • Support preventative maintenance tasks in all areas of the site as directed by the SAP PM Maintenance Management System.
  • Ensure accurate maintenance records are completed for all activities.
  • Ensure all work is carried out to the highest relevant standards.
  • Follow and apply well defined company policies and objectives, SOPs, GMP, and health and safety requirements in completing duties.
  • Promote a safe and healthy workplace by complying with company instructions and processes, taking reasonable care to ensure your own safety and health and that of others, and reporting any injury, hazard, or illness immediately.
  • Positively contribute to a motivated and engaged workforce through effective communication, participation, and teamwork.
  • Maintain the required level of skill and competencies relevant for your job role and development.
  • Ensure cGMP compliance by following company policies and procedures.
  • Complete GMP documentation to cGMP standards.
  • Report any deviations in processing or procedures immediately to supervisors.
  • Identify and participate in the implementation of CIs.
  • Participate in OE workshops and training.
  • Manage your own workload efficiently and cost-effectively to supervisors.

About You

  • Ability to spot small issues before they turn into larger problems.
  • Strong collaboration with other maintenance staff, engineers, and production teams.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks to ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks with minimal disruption to production.
  • A commitment to adhering to safety protocols and ensuring the work environment is hazard-free.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and manuals.
  • Ability to maintain good client relations and service efficiency.
