Position Overview

Role Summary

As a vital member of our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing the Certification, Accreditation, and Cyber Worthiness program associated with the creation of essential defence systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the formulation and management of critical security certification and cyber worthiness documentation.
  • Collaborate with system architects to integrate security measures into system designs.
  • Facilitate regular security working groups to evaluate risks and controls with relevant stakeholders.
  • Conduct threat modeling to identify and articulate security vulnerabilities and assess potential mitigation strategies.
  • Support and execute practical threat assessments and treatment evaluations.
  • Oversee the successful execution of cyber worthiness accreditation processes.

Qualifications and Skills

  • A University Degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or a related STEM field, accompanied by relevant technical experience.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in a comparable role.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of systems engineering methodologies.
  • Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing security protocols for complex systems.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, practices, and technologies, including:
    • Network and system security
    • Access controls and authentication mechanisms
    • Vulnerability management strategies
    • Incident response and disaster recovery planning
    • Compliance with industry standards and regulations (e.g., NIST, ISO/IEC 27001, PSPF, ISM, DSPF)
  • Experience with security technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems.
  • Strong skills in delivery, stakeholder engagement, and change management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and documentation abilities.
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain a NV1 Security Clearance.
