Job Summary

The Receiving Officer is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely receipt, processing, and storage of all goods and supplies. This role involves maintaining clear and organized records to facilitate efficient reporting and invoicing.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Calculate inventory levels, orders, and costs
  • Post invoices using computer programs
  • Conduct inventory audits to determine needs
  • Complete requisition forms for inventory and supplies
  • Notify supervisor of low stock levels

This position also involves receiving, unloading, and processing deliveries, as well as verifying and tracking received inventory and completing inventory reports and logs. The Receiving Officer will also be responsible for reconciling shipping invoices and receiving reports to ensure count accuracy.

Key Skills

To succeed in this role, you should have strong organizational skills and attention to detail, ability to work accurately with minimal supervision, effective communication and interpersonal skills, and adaptability and flexibility in a fast-paced environment.

You should also have a high school diploma or equivalent and at least 1 year of related work experience.
