Job Title: Freight Forwarding Technology Solutions Expert

About the Role:
People in Focus are seeking an IT-savvy individual to join their professional sales team. The successful candidate will play a key role in positioning and presenting customer-facing technology solutions and system capabilities to an already established client base. A background in freight forwarding in an operations, sales, or IT capacity is essential. The ideal candidate will have the proven ability to learn new technology systems quickly and present as the company's subject matter expert across various offices in Australia.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Solid understanding of customer-facing system capabilities
  • Developing an understanding of customers and vendors' supply chain systems
  • Use extensive industry knowledge to assist in the development of technology solutions, plan implementation, and monitor milestones to ensure on-time product delivery
  • Onsite training for clients and vendors
  • Liaise with internal and external networks regarding IT matters, ensuring on-time product delivery and integration

Requirements:
  • Extensive Cargowise 1 knowledge is essential
  • Solid freight forwarding industry experience (both import and export) is essential
  • Ability to learn and translate system capabilities and technology solutions
  • Capacity to develop and maintain strong business relationships
  • Excellent communication skills - oral and written
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Ability to problem solve
  • Have a current driver's license and own transport
