Director of Environmental Affairs

We are seeking a seasoned professional to fill the role of Assistant Director in our Environmental Permitting and Compliance Division.
- Lead and manage a team of assessment officers responsible for undertaking triage assessments on allegations of non-compliance under Commonwealth environmental legislation.
- Work across assessments, Ministerial Correspondence and executive briefing in a dynamic environment.
- Contribute to maturing business practices and reforming processes to deliver outcomes efficiently and align with legislation.
The Environmental Permitting and Compliance Division is an exciting place to be part of, passionate about regulation and the environment. It is an ideal time to join the Division within the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water.
