About this role

We are seeking a skilled Echo Sonographer to perform diagnostic echocardiography procedures and provide high-quality patient care in a supportive and collaborative environment at I-MED.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform echocardiography procedures using ultrasound equipment to visualize and assess cardiac structures and blood flow.
  • Obtain and analyze patient data, including medical history and previous test results, to aid in the interpretation and reporting of echocardiographic findings.
  • Ensure patient comfort and safety during procedures, while maintaining proper infection control practices.
  • Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, troubleshoot any technical issues, and report malfunctions or need for repairs.
  • Stay up-to-date with advances in echocardiography techniques and technology through professional development activities and continuing education.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and produce comprehensive and timely reports of echocardiographic findings.
  • Adhere to ethical and legal standards, maintaining patient confidentiality and privacy at all times.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of echocardiography principles, techniques, and procedures.
  • Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting ultrasound equipment, including knowledge of different transducers and imaging modes.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, medical staff, and colleagues.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities to maintain accurate records and produce comprehensive reports.
  • Commitment to maintaining professional competence through ongoing education and professional development.
